동호회 여가활동 참여자의 정체성 변화과정 분석 - 20∼30대 축구 동호회 참여자를 중심으로
이 연구는 여가 동호회 참여자의 여가활동을 통한 정체성 변화과정을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 여가 동호회 여가활동에 대한 선행연구 분석과 정체성 정치의 개념 고찰 이 이루어졌다. 근거이론방법을 활용하여 여가 참여자들의 정체성 변화과정의 구조를 45개 개념과 13개 하위범주, 5개의 상위범주로 구조화하였다. 총 14명의 참여자로부 터 수집한 심층 인터뷰 자료를 기초로 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 동호회 여가활동 참여는 근거이론의 6가지 패러다임을 거쳐 이루어졌으며, 여가 정체성 변화과정은 ‘참 여단계’ - ‘갈등단계’ - ‘성찰단계’ - ‘상호작용단계’ - ‘지속 또는 종료단계’의 총 5단계 로 나타났다. 결론적으로 동호회 여가활동은 자발적으로 참여하였지만 동호회 내 지 배적 질서에 종속된 하위문화에 따라 정체성이 고정되어버리며 개인의 정체성 추구가 어려운 구조를 보이는 것으로 확인되었다. 이 연구의 시사점으로는 사회 전반적으로 여가활동이 확산되는 가운데, 동호회 내 지배문화를 개선해 나가기 위한 노력이 필요 하며, 동호회에 참여하는 개인도 동료와의 소통을 위한 상호 호혜적 관계를 유지하는 것이 필요함을 제시한 것이다.
An analysis of the identity change process of participants in leisure activities in sports clubs
The purpose of this study is to analyze the identity change process of leisure club participants through leisure activities. An analysis of previous research on leisure club leisure activities and an examination of the concept of identity politics were conducted. Using the grounded theory method, the structure of leisure participants’ identity change process was structured into 45 concepts, 13 subcategories, and 5 supercategories. The results of the analysis based on in-depth interview data collected from a total of 14 participants are as follows. Participation in club leisure activities was accomplished through six paradigms of grounded theory, and the leisure identity change process consisted of a total of ‘participation stage’ - ‘conflict stage’ - ‘reflection stage’ - ‘interaction stage’ - ‘continuation or termination stage’. In conclusion, although participants voluntarily participated in the club’s leisure activities, it was confirmed that their identity was fixed according to the subculture subordinate to the dominant order within the club, making it difficult to pursue individual identity. The implications of this study are that efforts are needed to improve the dominant culture within the club amid the spread of leisure activities across society, and individuals participating in the club should maintain mutually beneficial relationships for communication with colleagues.
